I hope this area will suffice for asking about this modification.

Does anyone know whether or not a modification/plug-in similar to the one at the link below has been reworked for vB4?

No news is good news? Or is a global announcement feature part of the new vB 4.1.4?

Global announcement has been around since umm 3.7.x (never had 3.6 so couldnt say).

Use ^ that feature to posts announcements =)

Thanks Robbie. I realized this morning that the Notices feature was available like you've mentioned here. I'd used it for Guest messages only.

I'd just never realized I could use it in the same manner, even with a graphic, as the old Global Announcement mod. I messed around with it and some basic html and have a display that is better than the Global Announcement mod we'd used for years.

vB does listen to us more than we think, we don't pay attention to them all of the time either!
