Can I set 3 boards of my forum to private so that members need a password?

Hi

I got a forum with 10 boards and want to set 3 of them to private. Members will need to email me and I accept / reject their registration to these private forums - possible?

Any tips?

Just create a new usergroup for them.
Allow only them to access these forums, if they email you, you put them into the new group

Or make it a public joinable usergroup with a groupleader.
