On my site when I try to upload avatars that arent uploaded directly from my computer then I get an error... and if its a .gif on my computer it doesnt show the movement, it just takes the first frame of the picture..
The error I get when doing this is : Code:
Warning: tempnam() [function.tempnam]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/omghackz:/usr/lib/php:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php:/tmp) in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 276 Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 282 |

Check your usergroups permissions it may have something to do with that. I know from personal experience if the avatars are set to be 80 pixels in width and I upload an avatar that is 100 pixels in width and it was an animated gif, it will not work until I set the forum avatar width to 100 pixels. So check your usergroup permissions for avatars first and see if they are set the way you want them. Then check the avatars you are trying to upload to the site and see that they are the correct width etc.
