Default Can new members log in through VB then go to my main website??

Hi I'm a newbie and have just installed the current vesion of VB.

I would like to link the log in page as well as the regestration page from my VB forum to my main html website?

Is there any way I can do this as I want my site to be secure and only access by registered members. I would like it if after sign in I could direct members to another page before going to the forum; is this possible???

Many thanks

potentially yes ... however without knowing what system your current website runs, we would be guessing to answer this.

What I would suggest is that you look at vBulletin with a CMS add-on like vBAdvanced. With both you can run vBulletin and your "website" through vBulletin back admin.

www.vbadvanced.com is where you'll find info on the CMS add-on.

OK so it's most likely a standard HTML website (as you mentioned in your original post).

In that case - you may want to check out vBadvanced as suggested - before you go launching your site.

Another option is to get a CMS (content management system) like Drupal which has integration plugins for vBulletin.

If you were to continue down the route you are - you would need to use a scripting language like php and code your website to link into the vBulletin authentication system. There are articles on how to setup static vbulletin pages in this site.

Hi

I have installed the VBadvanced pluggin and it is working ok with the Cpanel.

But I'm not sure where to begin with linking my 2 base html pages with the login section and the registration and payment sections.

Can someone please advise me?

Thanks

I would start on the vbadvanced site and read the tutorials and documentation on how to use the CMPS. My suggestion would be to "copy" the contents of these pages (individually) and create new pages within the CMPS system.
