What would be everyone's advice for someone who wants to learn how to write their own vBulletin add-ons, modifications, styles, etc. I am not an expert, but I have gotten my hands quite dirty in PHP and MySQL. I developed a news publishing system for my website using PHP and MySQL, so I'm not totally lost.

Try a search on this topic in these forums since this topic has been brought up many times before and lots of helpful advice has been already posted.
I've always said the best way to learn it to download a modification by a reputable coder and 'read' how he did it. |

Thanks
![]() I found a book on Amazon that's about creating mods and templates for vBulletin. I learn really well from books, but I'm not sure which version of VB it covers (I believe the book was released in 2006). Would the programming of VB have changed too much between then and now for the book to be of any use? |
