Anyone in a rush to install it? I downloaded it but am holding off on installing until there is some feedback... forgive me for not trusting IB's releases too much at the moment, I hope it just fixes the handful of bugs and doesn't create new ones but I'm cautious too.
Anyone have a lists of files changed or what templates will need to be reverted, if any?
I usually give the new releases about a week before grabbing them - though the 3.8 tree has been pretty good... and they're pretty well tested before we see a release..
Well I installed it last night, no issues... didn't bother reverting the postbit template because the only update was to clear some code that never gets displayed anyway so it's no big deal.

When i found this out i was kinda angry... I just got done spending about 3 days completely modding the postbit and then they wanted me to revert it... Now im gunna spend several hours figuring out which code exactly they removed so i can edit mine to do the same.

I haven't updated my 3.x board yet, but updating the templates is pretty easy (to those who have modded boards)
you can compare templates and add the new code in a matter of minutes.

There's a program called "WinMerge" that lets you compare two text files and highlights the differences for you... but the point is you don't need to revert if you don't care about hidden code not being displayed anyway. As I don't allow guests to post and don't delete accounts there would never be a situation like this for me anyway.
I upgraded two sites to 3.8.6 over last weekend, without issues.
My postbits are already so custom that the new version didn't offer a benefit, so I retained my versions. The rest of the changes were so minor that I ended up just re-applying a few customizations after reverting templates.
There were a few bugs addressed in 3.8.6, a link exists within the announcement. Only a couple were important enough for me to make the effort.
