Hello
I wonder if it's possible to parse an external rss feed (for example the latest articles of my joomla site) in a header on my forums (I mean : instead of displaying the feed as threads in a forum)? Do I have to use some rss parser like 'magpierss' ? Thank you |

I am not familiar with MagPieRSS, but you would need to find a PHP class / functions that will fetch and parse the feed. Then you would need to write code to place it in a variable which you can then place in the header template. LastRSS is one such class.

Thank you King Kovifor for your answer. At least I know now it's possible. Even if it looks not that easy to accomplish...It seems to be too complicated for a non coder like me ;-)
I can integrate a variable in a template but nothing very much more difficult ;-) I notice some guys have done something similar like here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=117235 but I don't understand what exactly he did... :-( Thank you very much anyway |
