What is the max size to have a logo at the forum header without having to move the screen to view it? I have 1150 x 150...are all of the STYLES set the same?
would all depend on the screen res your using i would presume... 1024 x 768 i assume your using and its 1150 thats y you have to move the browser over i bet...
Always design a layout with the lowest common denominator in mind. In the case of any website this will be the lowest screen resolution you expect visitors to your site to be using. 1024x768 is taken as being the lowest most site visitors will view a site at these days so just make sure that the total width of any page does not exceed 1000 pixels in width to be safe.
But take this site as an example. The fixed width has actually been setup to take into account visitors running in 800x600 resolution which some surprisingly still do, and it was in fact the standard resolution to take into account until recently.
