at moment im currently on 3.0.7 now i want to upgrade to new version.
Do i have to copy all the files from the upload folder (overwriting the ones on the server) or do i just need to upload the upgrade files that are located in the install folder as its threw me a bit as if i copy every file across me board may not work again. Any hints on tips from anyone who done it as to what may go wrong if i do this ?? |

You will need to upload all files (except install/install.php)
Be aware that on upgrading from 3.0 to 3.5 you will loose all your code edit hacks. You could best first do a testupgrade on a test board. Please view the official upgrade documentation. You might also want to have a look at vb.com in the Upgrade & installation forum at the stickied post "EVA2000's upgrade method" |
