LOOONNGGGG story short... I was trying to create a table, baby in arms screwed the works and now I have no usergroup table. It no longer exists. I need to recreate or restore the table. For all possible info I am running vb3.5.3 and here is the error I am getting:
Quote: Database error in vBulletin 3.5.3: Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM usergroup ORDER BY title; MySQL Error : Table 'xxxxxxxxxx.usergroup' doesn't exist Error Number : 1146 Date : Monday, February 20th 2006 @ 08:15:02 PM Script : http://XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/forums/adminc....php?do=modify Referrer : http://XXXXXXXXXXXXX/forums/admincp/index.php?do=nav IP Address : xxxxxxxxx Username : xxxxxxxxx Classname : vb_database Forum side everything is fine, YES, this was on a live forum, but on that side its all kosher,, people can post, they have maintained their usergroups, post count, everything. I ony get this erro when I try to access the usergroups section in the admin cp. any help would be much appreciated!! I basically need to syntax to recreate the table as I am idiot when it comes to phpmyadmin. Thanks to anyone who can help. Joedee |

I would go to the install scripts for vbulletin, find the sql statement to create the usergroup table and run that query. Then, I would re-create my usergroups.

LOL I did the same thing this morning. The only way to get everything back the way it was before you hosed it is to:
1: Find a fairly recent sql dump. 2: Search it for " your prefix_usergroup. cut and past that section into phpmyadmimin sql box and hit run walla you got it back |

thank you for your reply, unfortunately I do not have a sql dump. The last time I did one I had my old computer and wasnt expexting baby to be so squiggly and cause a table to go away.
Is there anyway to rebuild the usergroups and reassign them??? |

Create the table, use usergroupcache (which hopefully still exists) to rebuilt it's information.
Send me a PM with ACP, FTP and phpMyAdmin details ... too lazy to explain in full detail ![]() |
