More easy to post when lots of categories ?

Hi,
I don't know if it exists or not.

Lets say a forum has a lot of categories, is there a hack with a standalone post page where user could select which category to post in, from a drop down menu, or a more advanced solution, instead of having to go in the specific forum that may not be seen if a sub sub sub forum ?

My suggestion:
Rearrange your forum structure, cut-down the amount of forums
