On the admincp, there is an option to email all members. It gives you an option to send as a test, which just tests the settings (I guess), or the option to actually send out an email to all your members.....
Well, my "test" comes back "Okay" for everyone, but when I send a real email to everyone, it doesn't go out????????? I am registered twice (with different email addresses) and I don't get the email at either address. I even select the option to send send to everyone, even those who declined to receive admin emails. What could be wrong? Thanks, Rob |

Does your board sent out any other mails (subscription notifications/registration mails)?

i am not sure...... i don't think so. Would that matter???
actually, come to think of it, I used to have it set up to send out confirmation emails before allowing anyone to become registered, but I was having problems with that because people weren't receiveing the confirmation email, so I turned that setting off. |

Sounds to me that mail is not correct configured on your server. Please contact your host to fix it.

I know it worked once before....Because after the problem I had with people not receiving the confirmation emails, I changed the setting, and emailed everyone to let them know I had changed it.... That email went out, but it hasn't worked after that. Where would I check and update any settings in vbulletin???

Try:
ACP->Maintenance->Diagnostics->Email And post the results. |

I ran the test, and it worked fine. I received the test email...... The diagnostic results came back good... Here is what it said.
Help Pertinent PHP Settings SMTP: localhost sendmail_from: me@localhost.com sendmail_path: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i Help Results No errors were returned while attempting to send the email. Check rob@bikebuilders.com shortly to confirm you've received the email. If you don't receive the email, try sending the test to a different address. If that fails, check your mail server's configuration. vBulletin v3.0.7, Copyright ?2000-2005, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. Any ideas?????? Thanks, Rob |

Nope, all mail sending is handled by the standard php functions. If 1 is working the others should be working also.
