email templates?

hi i want to change the subject line of outgoing emails from my board...eg, the registration email confirmation email, private msg notification emails, right now the subject line includes my entire forum name ... i would prefer to only have the Homepage Name

Theres 2 ways of doing this.

1. Change your forum name to the same as your homepage name
2. Edit the phrases that you want to have changed.

If you want to change the phrases then they will be listed under 'email body subject text'

hi i want use your 2nd method, but i don't know where to edit the phrases....how do i go about doing that?

ok i figured out how to change the phrases....i have one more question if anyone can help, the emails that are received, i was able to change the subject and the msg bodies, how do i change the From field???

The only way to change that is to change your site name. The vB system auto mails with the site name as the from address.
