I am looking for something that will look kind of like an image gallery addon but with videos.

Underneath the forums on the main page it will have a thumbnail of the first frame of the video or whatever.. much like an image gallery has.. but when they click on them.. instead of downloading an image.. they are downloading a video.

Does anything like this exist?

I believe both 4images, and coppermin have this feature (that's where you'll get the gallery look/feel) and both of them are integrateable with vb2/3.

4images has a lot of cookie problems though.

Question:
Aren't the first frames for most movie files black?

I assume that those image gallery integrations also restrict downloads from people that arent logged in?

This would mean that only people that register and have an active account are able to download the videos.
correct?

Oops. Long time no post..

You can set the group permissions to be able to download the files in 4images. Not sure about coppermine.
