Some replacements help needed..

Not sure if this should go here, but I hope it does...

I've been trying to do replacements for a new style that will allow the following things that I saw on a style used at another site:

I'd like to align on the left the header/navbar (not sure which is the right name, if either) where it says Home, Members, Search and such. So far I've only gotten the whole forum aligned on the left, but I just want it for this part.

The redirect page to have a plain black background (while now it shows the image that makes up part of the background). I think this may be a problem with how the background image is placed, but I'm not that good with coding so I don't know for sure.

On the header image, I have a one pixel line going right across it just above the "header" bar, but it stops at the edge of the image. Any way I can get this to continue on the header background, without extending the size of the image.
