Ok I like VB and I don't mind keeping up to date with things but the updates lately are a little out of control. I dont have a super moded board but enough mods to make it a chore to reinstall them every single time there is an update. Now I really don't care to much for patching because I was told that dose not fix everything. So my question is... Is there a place we can go to that will tell us how to manually update VB? (note: I said update not patch)

the vB updates are not out of control, the hackers who are spending insane ammount of waking hours to find a hole that shouldn't be there, because its a php bug, is what is out of control.
Some people use Diff programs. There are some pointers in the tips and tricks forum.
I don't think that the updates and their frequency are a real problem, but I would like to see vbulletin try to accomodate the "hacking" community a bit better. I realize that they don't support vbulletin once the code has been modified, however even on vbulletin.com they give tips and tricks on how to customize your board - thay have to know that people want to make their boards more unique, so why not try to accomodate that?
You can make it unique through template mods. I rather have updates every day and knowing my vb is up to date, then knowing there is a exploit around, but the fix wait's because the last release has been xx days before and they dont want to upset people who modified their boards 8P
