Notification code?

Hi

Can somebody tell me what the code is for 3.7 when you get a new friend request or comment etc.

Reason being it works fine in my default skin but in my new skin it doesnt. I copied some of the code over and although it now says 1 notification it doesnt give me the arrow and the pop down box etc

This is the code I have but can anyone tell me the full code?
