Not to long ago cschuck3 from these forums requested that we (vbcore) do a complete custom vBulletin skin for him and a lot of other custom work/coding. The project was pretty big, he was going to pay about $5,800.00 for a complete forum design and a lot of custom modifications. EVERYTHING was complete on his website (www.minimotocity.com) and he failed to pay. The design is below that we came up for him

The design was fully coded just how it looks on the screenshot and 100% complete. For WEEKS he was telling me he was going to pay me, and I have not received the money yet. Not to long ago I was forced to take down the website and delete the forum Database (CIHost Told me to) (His host) What I am doing is just warning the community not to fall for Charles Schucks tricks, he will talk to you like a friend, and then never pay you. Honestly, I probably put in over 200 hours worth of design and coding work on minimotocity.com, and i can not ever get that time back, and probably turned down over $5,000.00 worth of work. I just do not want to see anyone else go through what i did and dont want you to end up wasting your time.

He also Tells people that he is in the BBB in Minnesota, yet I contacted them and they said that they have never heard or have no records of "Charles Schuck" being a member of the BBB.

I for one ask for 1/2 the money up front before starting any project. Shows that they are truly committed to the project. If they aren't willing to put atleast 1/2 up front they aren't serious about the project.

Yeah, same thing here if it's over a certain amount. I would have definantely asked for a little in advance... especially for how much work you did. I see he has a new request up also?

I have always done that, and i still do that, i don't know why..but for some reason i trusted this guy, maybe b/c he was cool and we had "plans" on starting a hosting business together in the near future...I will never make that mistake again. I require 50%-100% up front now At all times.

Just a warning, b/c i dont want this great community (vbulletin) to go through what i did, and HE WILL screw you.

well really only thing you can do is get FBI involved, give them all info he provided you. Check his websites whois, give them the host he's on and all force will be put on him. If that is really not his name then really you are screwd.

Just one question if he never paid why did you even install everything on his website to even begin with if he never paid a dime. I would never do that. I dont care if he was the closest friend ever. I would want to recieave a payment before anything even touches the server.

OK guy to clear everything up I will start by point out the facts, I then will give my reasons for my action and from there you decide. Please keep in mind that this project was to start before my pocketbike race league winter session started.

1. EVERYTHING was complete on his website (www.minimotocity.com) and he failed to pay. The design is below that we came up for him.

-Well all you have to do is read the what I posted " https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=71667 " and you can see that 80% of the work is just not this design. and as for this design. I changed the domain name to " minimotocity.com " before vbcore started. And he was told to create a City them after the domain name. Per. our 1st agreement after waiting serval days he showed be this theme. Which my 1st responce was where did he get this from. As yoyu can see there is not city theme, He was sent picture of Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and was to integrate pocketbikes in this theme. Based on tiem frame I did agree to this theme and I told him that " This is based on a discount and or extra work ". This was only the 1st of several misleading attempts to talk me into something technically easier for him and or of a lesser quality.

There are several other issues and for all it worth I'm not bashing vbcore I think he deep down he is a good guy, But my project has and was not completed as to my approval and he was taking way to long. vbcore I thought was a good friend. Infact before I made my mind up to hire a new firm I told him my issues and he was told that we would need to come up with an agreement based on my issues, payment for hiring other admins to complete this porject while he was hired, and based on the fact that the design was not basded on our original agreement. I was then told that I had until thursday to pay him $1800.00 for a design that I never really wanted in the 1st place. Which I would have paid somting for but not full price, Which we had already talked about. As for my Business I own Advacned Integrated Soluton, Inc. based on Minnesota ( St. Paul ) and I have 2 office and over 47 clients. Some of my client list is: 3M, Target Corp., United Defence and more avaible upon request. As for the BBB, I was an active member up until the begining of the year. If you need to track my BBB history which is perfect place call: 651-699-111 and tell him that your looking to hire a consultinting firm do to technical support or network setup and design. They will refer you to me. Dont take my word for it please call. Now I not a memebr any more based on the $750/ yr. it was costing me.

- Yea I see that vbcore has doctored this theme up and has added a few finishing touches, or I guess this was already done and was one of the things he was working on that I never got to see yea right. Other then the header which the Minnesota map was not there on my forum, and the vb color changes nonhting on this url was done before this agreement went sour.

As you can see the fourm icons and still generic not done, and the footer this ios new and the last large image on a forum thread was I have never seen. So vbcore has made some final changed to this theme to make apoint on this thread. Again not basing him this project was way over his head, and I'm sure there are about 10 post all over the net asking question about how to do thigns for this porject. vbcore as our final chat still would have been able to get some kinda of payment, with an agreement basde on all the above issues and many other would have got paid. It cost me more to have another firm start the job than it wuold have been to just pay vbcore to finshed the project. As of not No payment wil be make to vbcore for the follwing reasons.

1. vbcore can not finished project with dead line.

2. Racial name I was called.

2. All the threats of taking me to court. As of yet I have not seen anything. Also vbcore before thursday per. our agreement above removed my hole forums folder. Which is datatheft, and is a federal crime. He claims that he had webmaster and that he can do anythign he wanted. I have been in 4 court cases with clients not wanted to pay me for project. Take this as some advice. The coure system will only want to hear you come up wiht some kinda of agreement. SO it best to do this on you own. I have spent alot of money ion court fee taking clients to court based on non payment. It is always based on two diffrent point of views. So as for the Data theft this in fact is a federal crime so if your on a project and you take or shut down the clients computer/firewall or ect. make sure not to leave any trails! This is Unauthorization access to data or hardware that not yours. You might get by with juts removing what you did and that bay far is big issues. But this is not a legal lesson. Point blank I tried to work with vbcore on this issues and it start costing me mroe money to correct and or complet thigns he start. As of now I have paid out over $1000.00 in fee for Admin time, and Software installation that he needed to do per my post.

So I have hired another firm to complete this project, But am search for New forum admin that can I quote " Get the Job done "... Please see my post in the hire section of this fourm. Based on the above issus I will pay per. Issues in FULL via CC, Paypal or what ever tendor you take.

If you'd like more references pleae feel free to contact me asap. Also the new firm was hire to do and was paid over 10k to complete 8 project. So vbcore sorry you could have has a very nice check. I will contact new firm to replay to this post so you can see a conformation for the follwoing:

Sounds good to me, I sure hope others can learn from my mistake. When hiring consultants for job. PLEASE MAKE SURE you have details agreement, basde on the following sections:

1. Complete Project details
2. Compete Date
3. Resolution Solutions
Note: Most state have a arbitration service, I have used this ij the past with good condition. the fee's are will avoid court costs.

There are many other additional details but the above are most important.
