Once again, Portal Integration (here: e-xoops)

Hello vB Community,

we're running a portal using e-xoops 1.05R3, and it's very customized ;-).

Because we want to change from the integrated newwbb_plus, which is somehow a fork of the PHPbb2 to vBulletin I'm going crazy currently.

The user creation is simple, we'er using the vB register and create an user with same uid and equal pass in e-xoops. After activation the user is known in both systems. This works allready.

But the problem is to establish somehow a session after logging in where all the required session-information and variables are available in both systems, e.g. using e-xoops uid for group membership validation also inside the vB-System and so on.

It's hard to believe that nobody worked on an integration like this.

If there is somebody who integrated vB into an CMS-Portal Environment like e-xoops, runcms, or all those nuke-forks it would be cool to get an idea about how to start.

I don't need a complete step-by-step tutorial, but I urgently need a way to find out the steps in their correct order.

It would be pretty cool to get some assistance, maybe we could establish somehow a small team.

We're using vB 3.0.5 and e-xoops 1.05RC3, but this modification would be helpful for a lot of other systems, too.
