I'll make a long and very painful story as short as possible: my hosting provider accidentally misinterpreted a question about data restoration as a request to do so. In their attempt to restore my database (which I did not request), half of my DB was wiped away.
I've had all kinds of problems trying to bring the DB back up, but I'm almost there. I'll disclose that I am running vbAdvanced. My issue: the customer-facing aspects of the DB seem to be in pretty good shape, but when I login to my Admin CP, there's missing data in the template itself -- some of the menu items are blank placeholders, some just have ampersands (&) in them, some are correct. I guess my question is, is there anything that can be done to restore the admin tables to get things back on track without having to start over from scratch? I'm feeling pretty hosed, but want to check here in hopes maybe.... I dunno. :nervous: Thanks - -- tonmo |
