I have a forum which is based on Sim Racing. NR2003 by Papyrus to be exact. The sim has been 'modified' to inclued not only the TOP division but also the lower 3 divisions and a whole unique division.

So, my forums looked like this.

|Nascar Racing 2003
||Nextel Cup division
||Busch Grand National Division
||Craftsman Truck Division

Previously I had 3-5 seperate forums for the categories in place to handle the questions surrounding each series. What I have done was to consolidate all the 3-5 divisions into ONE forum. Nascar Racing 2003. However, some users fail to post what the topic is about with specificity. Whether its about Craftsman trucks, or Nextel Cup division.. etc.. in this NEW single forum.

What I would like is a way to have the orginating poster have a selection available with a label that is displayed inside the post, and on the second teir forum display. (thread view?) that indicates what the topic is about. I'm also only looking for this option to be available in ONLY this one category and not all my forums.

I could see this as not only a good modification for me, but for many people who have a 'consolidated' topic. Like Gardening or Cooking. They could have a forum about Meat preparation, but what sort of meat? Hamburger or chicken... these could be 'options' for the thread poster to 'alert' the reader as to the exact topic.....

Whew... I didn't expect it to be so long winded..
