Default Argh! Spyware?
Since last night, my browser keeps randomly connecting to the site:
http://torch2.my100megs.com/

Or some other variant of it. Even when the browser is closed and I'm playing on a game, my browser will sometimes randomly pop-up and connect to this site. I've ran ad-aware and it still hasn't got rid of it, anyone heard of this problem before or know of a fix?

I've never heard of this one. I run a combination of AVG, ZA, PestPatrol, SpySweeper and about every other one I can think of and it keeps me safe nowadays

However if you use IE then the best solution is this. Look for a program called 'HijackThis' then pop on over to www.computercops.biz and they have a forum for posting HijackThis logs. Read the rules within the forum, then signup and post your log for an expert to take a look at

Also try Spybot: Search and destroy. Gets rid of more stuff than Ad-aware.

I use adware and spybot s&d tho in saying that ive found s&d to be quite useless sometimes.

Ms needs to pull its finger out on this, and we need some srot of sfaeuard in place to stop this kind of deliberate hi-jacking, i mean its almost a violation of the your rights.

Turns out I had a virus that AVG hadn't picked up, and it had disguised itself as the Windows Updater. wuid.exe the file was called..

Hopefully, with the virus removed that page will finally stop loading.!

I've got about 500 installations of AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/), and I've been happy with it. The full version runs & updates in the background. It's pretty thorough, and we don't usually see problems with it.

Hehe after claiming I'm clean I found 3 remote keyloggers on my machine with SpySweeper last night - it's a great program and one of the more commercial ones. I reccomend it highly as it found something this important which adaware and others did not
