Status Update on Link14716/squall14716/Matthew's Hacks:
...yeah, I still don't know what I am. Well, I figured I'd post a nice little update on hacks that have been mentioned before but not yet released, a hack that hasn't even been mentioned by me here previously, and updates with already released hacks. That brings my total hacks to be updated/released to... 3. Whoopie. uShop & uCash Zachery just finished the templates on it, and now all that is left is finalizing the installer and testing it out (the no-HTL only rule bites me in the ass here and delayed this hack quite a bit), and when that is done 0.93 Beta will be publically released here. Considering tommorow is Saturday and I have spring break next week, I am confident that it will be released no later than Sunday, although anyone who knows me knows that I am horrible with dates. Take it as you will, but I'm as anxious to release it as a lot of you are anxious to install it. Also note, that this is not purely "my" hack, Zachery over there did 99.9% of the template work , so it's unfair to leave my partner-in-crime without proper credits. ![]() Shoutbox Hack 1.x As I said above, I got spring break coming up which will give me a lot of time to get around to updating this hack. I can say with confidence that by week's end, I'll release 1.04 to fix some bugs. The next major release will be 1.1 which will include an admin script for pruning and maybe some other things, most likely followed by 1.5 which will include a lot of optimizations (I wrote the base of the hack shortly after vB3 Beta 3, I've improved my coding skills a lot since then). Shoutbox Hack 2.x Sometime after Shoutbox 1.5, work will begin on Shoutbox 2.x, which will most likely be free, and will include a lot more features than most people could think of. I'll spare you the details until I get there though. ![]() vB-Bash This hack is similar to the vB-Bang!/vB-DOS hack that zajako released a while back. It does many of the same functions, but supports a whole lot more, such as parameters. Currently there are only 3 commands in place, but the bulk of it is done (I just need to do a few tweaks and add some permissions). # closethread closes a thread, but you could specify a -t parameter and close that threadid, such as # closethread -t 139 would close threadid 139. # openthread works in the same manner. Another command that just works great with parameters - # vboptions - which changes a setting based on two parameters - -o, which is for the varname, and -v for the value. Turn your board off without even going into the admincp! Code:
# vboptions -o bbactive -v 0 # vboptions -o bbclosedreason -v Testing_Bash_Bot. Take the dates here as estimates, not "I-Must-Release-It-Or-I-Shall-Kill-Myself" dates, OK? I really don't know when this or that will be releases, all I can do is estimate, and estimated dates by me are usually missed anyways, if that gives you more hope. I'm done. Discuss. ![]() |
