Default very small and simple maybe? vBulletin template question

Hello,
I am currently working on a page with short windows tips for users on my message board who often get infected or let people into their computer when they really didnt mean to

any how to the point of the question:

I have the page at http://board.madoshi.com/comhelp.php

It does not look very well under a few of the styles, what would I need to edit in the template for the page to force it to use a custom style and over ride the user's default? Or is this done elsewhere than in the template? and how would I accomplish this task?

Thank you!

In your php file add $styleid = x;

Replacing x with the id of the style you want to use for that page

Hi Mist, thanks for replying,
I tried it as you said (see short code below) but I am afraid it did not work, then again often I can be a block head and mess up the unmessable I used the numerical value of the style, is that the correct way to do it?

Code:
<?
require( "global.php" );
eval("dooutput(\"".gettemplate('jgm_extra')."\");");
$styleid = 4;

?>

PHP Code:
<?
$styleid = 4;
require( "global.php" );
eval("dooutput(\"".gettemplate('jgm_extra')."\");");
?>
Try that ^^

Thank you very much Mist! All it took was just putting it above global.php requirement

heh heh heh, I just found one bug though. It changes the person's style for that one page, and when they return to the forum it is still that style! lol!
You have to go to your User CP and change to a different style, then change back. Is this something template side?

I believe it will keep the styleid in the users cookie, there was a fix made for it. You could try clearing your cache (ctrl+f5) and that may help

Hi assassingod,
I did try that and had a few other people try too, and it did not help Oh well.

I think I would like to try to do it so the text formatting and background use the rules of the user's style selection, instead of forcing them to one style I am going to try and find/add the lines into the template to use the skin's natrual colors.
