I've been using phpTriad for quite a while now, but recently it has messed up big time, along with my test forums, and my new style along with it, which was a complete bummer, i tried to redownload it to reinstall, but it seems that it is gone, instead of going through the painful process of getting an online host or installing apache, php and mysql on it's own, is there any followup to phpTriad to use, or a better alternative

I use phpdev - can't remember the link but it works great and is still in production keeping up to date with all the latest php and mysql releases

i dont think there was a username or pass for the db
maybe the username was root, but no pass i'm sure of it and get mysql-front to manage mysql in phpdev as it was a pain to make db/users ;D |

No need for a pass. Use root as your username and password isn't needed on localhost

<a href="http://www.firepages.com.au" target="_blank">www.firepages.com.au</a> is the PhpDev page. I've been using it for about a year and I can recommend it, it's awesome.
