Hi folks,
I just installed vB yesterday. The only thing it doesn't have that my old UBB had was the ability to show for each forum on the front page, the title and other information about the last post to the forum, not just the time/date and last poster ID. Someone told me there was a hack here to do this but I can't find it. Does it exist? I am assuming not and trying to do it myself. The only way I can see to do it is to do a separate SQL query for each forum when the front page is displayed, which seems rather inefficient. Is there a better way to go? Any advice appreciated one way or the other. Thanks. |

I'm sure it exists, but all I'm good for is bumping this post up to help you

Well, it exists now anyway.
![]() Take a look and let me know what you think. My main concern now is that having to do a query for each and every postable forum on the front page is really inefficient. Anyone know if there is a better way? Charles |
