I am having a problem with the Mobile suite...
Normally when you finish packaging with vBulletin to get your .apk file, it changes the version automatically so that when you load the file, the new version is recognized by the play store. It is not making a new version so it will not allow me to upload the file because it thinks that it is the same one... Is there any way to fix this?

vBulletin version 5.1.9
Mobile Suite version 1.11.x

Also, and equally important... Out of the few versions that I have been able to load, I cannot see images at all. It won't show images in the mobile app at all, it won't show polls or smilies either (may all be related).

I have asked on the vBulletin.com forum for users and have not received a single response. Any help is very appreciated!

Still do not have a fix for the images or the versioning issue.

Also... Why no push notifications for the mobile app? Is this a difficult task for vBulletin? Can someone else code this? It is functionality I would pay $$ for. Just need to be able to setup push notifications for PM's and maybe subscribed threads if possible?

Hope you don't mind a question. I run Vb 5 too, and I was curious how the mobile suite compares to Tapatalk? I have Tapatalk installed, and was curious as to whether you'd recommend the mobile suite?

To be honest, I haven't used tapatalk yet but I am considering switching. So far I am not impressed with the mobile suite. I cannot get it to function properly, and there is little to no support unless you pay for it from vBulletin. It is relatively straight forward to install and setup.

Currently I cannot get images to show up (or smilies) and have not gotten any real support on the issue. There is also a versioning problem where when you try to upload a new version to the play store it says that it is a duplicate. I am hoping that these issues were resolved with the newest update that I will be installing on Thursday but we will see.

Overall I would say that it is a cool idea, but could use some major improvement. I do like that you can make it your own with a custom logo for android and iPhone, and custom logos in the play store.

How would you rate tapatalk? Do images work? Is there push notifications? Can you use your own logo to be displayed as the icon?

I haven't used any other mobile solution by which to compare it. I do have Tapatalk and Forumrunner active, however, I have never tested the site with Forumrunner. Yes images work with Tapatalk, and there are push notifications. You can use your own logo to be displayed as an icon, along with a background in the Tapatalk website settings for your listing.
