I've submitted my fair share or projects to the Lego Ideas website but this is the first one I really care about.
For those who don't know Lego Ideas allows you to submit a project to possibly become an official LEGO set. Each project submitted has one year to gather 10,000 supporters - those who do, earn the right to be given an official review by the LEGO team. Only a few sets each year out of dozen or two who make it to 10,000 actually get chosen to be made into a real set. Having lived my whole life in New York City I grew up seeing the Twin Towers (usually in the distance) as a regular part of life. I still remember which streets you could turn down in Brooklyn and could see them towering above the local homes/buildings. No other buildings in Manhattan were visible from Canarsie, except them. Growing up you took it for granted they would always be there. My set is my way to get some of that back. It is intended to be part of the LEGO Architecture series which is more geared to adults and are built to look at, not really designed to be played with- there are no moving parts or mini-figures. You can read/see more and support my idea by going here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/79596 Thank You. ![]() |

LEGO doesn't hold the rights for Star Trek ships so they won't make them. My first submission was basically a ship very much based on the BOP design.
