I've changed the background color of the text-area, which looks fine in firefox. However, in chrome/IE it still displays as the old color. I've already changed it within the actual editor.css and ive gone into the clientscript editor.css to look for it there also (Since for whatever reason that overwrites)

Any explanation for this?

Try clearing your browser temp files. I've had similar 'problems' when changing my logo on the top of the page.
