banner system

I wonder how the banner system works to add new locations. In includes/xml/ad_locations_vbulletin.xml i see the defined locations

example:

	<location key="header1">
			<cp_width>133</cp_width>
			<cp_height>35</cp_height>
			<cp_xpos>138</cp_xpos>
			<cp_ypos>3</cp_ypos>
		</location>

But i dont really know what those numbers are and how are the ads being shown in the template. I need a few 125x125 ads in the forum sidebar and some 120x60 somewhere in the WSO but i dont know how to define them and how to show them in the template :erm:

Does anyone have experience with this? I really want to use the built in ad system, not mods or some external scripts.
