is there a way or a mod that searches the complete forum for broken links
so i can get rid of those broken links that people post and no longer work

its getting out of hand on forums with broken links and links that use to work but now send you to exe files with all kinds of virus and trojans in it

Just use google webmaster tools.

thnx i did thats why i am looking for such a mod
i forgot to say that also changes the broken links into the index page of the forum

this way i can loose these broken links all at once
