Removing unverified emails

Hey everyone,

Though we do only accept verified emails now long ago we did not have this restriction. As a result there are literally thousands of email address in accounts that are not working. There are also emails in accounts that are no longer working but were once verified.

Because of this we bounce thousands of emails a day. They get sent out and bounced back to the server.

Is there any mod or any other way to go through all of the emails in mass to make sure they are working? Or, is there any way to mass send out a verification to users. I don't know but how do you guys deal with this issue?

The weekly newsletters are killer but even the day to day birthday notifications, etc end up using a ton of resources for nothing. I would like to remove the emails from those accounts that are broken.
