raw messageboard on new thread

i want to know if there is anyway of putting some default text in the empty message board when someone is trying to make a new thread to make it easy for posting ??? many thanks in advance for all replies

Not sure what you mean... do you mean some "faded" text informing users of what to type in each section?

yes something like that would be great if it is possible or if i can change the message box to something like http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit....ml_form_submit
but i dont know if thats hard to do im still learning a little with html but im a quick learner

I would take a look at some of the message editor template MODS that are on the board here. Should give you an idea how to handle it. I will post a link when I get a chance -- sorry on lunch break, just have a couple of minutes.
