Add a Link to the Answer - under first post in thread

One of the biggest issues in any forum is repetitive/common questions... your users get tired of seeing the same question being asked over and over. I have an idea that I think could help. Allow people to add a link pointing to the answer and place it just below the first post in the thread - very similar to the way people can Like a post or give Thanks in other plugins.

The issue will be making it easy for the user who is reading the question to be able to quickly find the thread they want to link to. My first thought would be to throw in a search box under the post with a label titled "find the answer". When a user does a search an ajax window pops up with search results where the user can click in and find the reply that contains the answer. Each reply would have a link titled "mark this post as the answer". When that is clicked, the ajax window closes and the link is populated next to the search box and the user can then click a Save button to store the entry.

Now, when anyone reads the thread where an answer link has been added it will show up right under the first post. These links should be easy to moderate and usergroup permissions should dictate who can and cannot add them.

This would probably be a pretty big project, but one that would help fight the battle that all forum owners deal with daily.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could also store the keywords used in the search that resulted in the post being linked right there next to the link? Display them as a link that can be clicked and send the user to a search results page? This would effectively help show people how to search themselves.
