allow access to 123flashchat for usergroups

Using 123flashchat software with its vbulletin integration.

There is an issue where members who are not registered yet or accounts in moderation queue can still access the chat room. Anyone know of a method for allowing and disallowing certain usergroups from accessing chat all together? Maybe hide it to usergroups of my choice and show an alert message in place instead? Their support team is useless and hasn't helped me out on this matter.
