I disabled new user registrations due to spammers. I want to display message if someone try to register that they need to send email on this addres for manual registration.
How to pop up or display message with instrucitons on attemp to register? My ver. is 3.8.7 Patch Level 3 Spammers messed up my forum even after all recommend age, text, question, picture text verfications. |

How are users supposed to try to register if registration is disabled. In other words, what page is this message supposed to be at? Why not just create a notice and only show it to Unregistered Users?

If you have registration off, then there is no registration form which is why I suggested just using Notices.

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)
