Custom Postbit Question

Hey guys well I am getting into Vbulletin skins and Modifications and I have a simple question.

How would I go about making a custom postbit where users can set type in their subject and select from a list of images.

For example:

Sports: Football

I'm not sure what you mean - do you want users to be able to type in a subject in the postbit? What you can do is create a custom profile fields that allow a user to select a sport, for instance, then use the values of those field in the postbit template to decide what image to display (or create a plugin that decides and sets a varibale that's used in the postbit template).

I'm still not sure I understand, but: here's a mod that lets you select a country and displays the flag in the postbit: www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=229511

You could modify that to do what you want. Instead of pasting the options file in the Options box when creating the custom profile field, enter your sport options. Then you just need images named the same as the options (instead of the flag images that come with the mod), for instance, Football.gif, Baseball.gif, etc. Anyway, I hope that makes sense.
