changing the quick response text area size

Hi,
I've looked this up in the forums but nothing worked..
I've changed the
postlist.css

form#quick_reply textarea {
height:100px; //changed to 250px;
}

and I got something weird.
and styled took effect only in FF (not in chrome or IE)
and only in my computer. when I checked somewhere else- it's the same small quick response.
