i am sorry if i seem a bit new to this (well ok i am still new to this) so please bear with me.

i currently operate a forum utilizing a free forum provider. while this has served our community well for 2 years i am considering future growth and would liek to have some of the perks that VB has to offer.

however, i have a lot of questions before i make the jump and i am hoping that this community can help me as i go along.

at this time ni order to maintain my URL i pay around $25 per year and to keep the site advertising free an additional $20 per year.. not bad but i would like our funds to go further since we are growing and would like to maintain our "free to all" attitude.

this said i understand that once you buy VB there are no other fees. is this correct? if not what are the fees?

having moderated at a VB board before i am somewhat comfortable with the controls so i am sure my mods would adapt nicely but some of the members are a bit "computer challenged" and like some of our standard features - such as a side bar displaying the last 30 posts, buttons to see posts since last visit, or threads with out reply's - are these options that are included with VB?

at this moment that is all i have for questions (but i assure you there are more) please help a newer guy out and thank you for your time!
