OK, I have searched and searched and maybe using wrong keywords but this is what I am asking for. Is there a hack that does this:

I have my forums, then I have my site...

My News on MAIN SITE pulls from a category on the Forums but only shows the first post. Then it will say how many replies have been made on it. Then have a link to go there on the forums.

After doing this, my forums are locked and you must be registered to view or post on the forums. Can I do this and show the post and when they go to read the rest, they will have to sign it or register. If not, I will just pull the must be registered out so it can work. Would make it much easier than having to open Dreamweaver 20 times a day to update the News...
