Hello All,
I admit it, I dont have a clue, but have managed to get the forum up and working thanks to help on here..... So I thought I would do the upgrade as I keep getting told every time I login. Downloaded the files unzipped it read the instruction (thats where the problem started)and had a go. Good job the backup worked ok...... These are the instructions, now I might be taking them to litterally! Close your board via the Admin Control Panel. Upload all files from the 'upload/' folder in the zip, with the exception of 'install/install.php'. Open your browser and point the URL to http://www.example.com/forum/install/upgrade.php (where www.example.com/forums/ is the URL of your vBulletin). You should now be automatically forwarded to the appropriate upgrade script and step. If any errors occur, copy the error and please contact support. DO NOT continue with the upgrade. Doing so may cause irreversible damage to the database. Follow the instructions on the screen. Make sure you click next step or proceed until you are redirected to your Admin Control Panel. Here, you can reopen your board So my first question was if I copy up the files like it tells me to its going to overwrite my original files and fear I would loss all the pics etc, so do I send up the folder "upload"? The second having tried the first and found an error message sayong no config file is what did I miss? Thanks |
