Can someone tell me where they are please?

You know the "reply/ new thread / edit post" etc.

not sure if this allowed BUT, you can simply right click the images on the site you want to use> save image as> then upload them over the images in your vbulletin IMAGES/BUTTON folder and there you go you now have the buttons..

*make sure you upload them to images/buttons folder and name them the same exact thing as the button you want to replace.

Yeah I did think about doing that TBH I just wondered if there was a better way. I've seen loads of forums that have them so they must be somewhere!

Download vB 3.8 from your user account on vb.com. They are in the images/buttons folder.
