Advertising side bar help

Ok Team

I have a side bar on my CMS page which displays my adverts on my site. However its a scrolling side block which has an effect on page load. Is there a way I can have the side bar so there are I.e. 4 adverts on the side and that they are all stil and not scrolling. I need a nice smooth mod that can do that or a template.

Does anyone know of this?

If you look in the picture here you will see what i have but its obvs the scrolling version of what i want.

I am not sure how your widget is displaying the ads, but look at the raw HTML for that widget and search for "marquee" -- if that is not there, look for a javascript that is causing it to scroll. If you find either of these, you can delete the marquee tag. If it's javascript, you would need to modify that as deleting it would get rid of the ads altogether. If you cannot find either, can you please post the code for that widget below?

I think its slowing down my cms page

So i think if it was just a standing still ad.. would work on the board better

You can use banner rotator script which will load the banners as they are needed.

Or resize the images and they will load quickly.

e.g. http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/fo...aderttsite.jpg ... this image is 52KB and after resizing it to 200px width size came down to 8KB.
