A little over a year ago I started building a site that would offer reviews of local busineses and discussion forums. After a lot of research I decided to build the site using vBulletin for the CMS and forums and I went with vbCover.com's iReviews as the review software. After many delays from the coder (and getting totally ripped off) I was able to release the site in January of this year.

Now I find myself wondering if iReviews is my best option. In my opinion it's a little complicated even for the moderator to do reviews. Once a review is entered by my staff users can add their reviews but that too seems to require more than they may be willing to do.

Would you please take a look at my current setup and share with me your opinions. Since I haven't added reviews (only one) I thought I should definitely decide on what direction I'm going before I move any further along.

The key to a solid site in my opinion is interaction and the forums should one day drive my site but the reviews need to be what brings people to the site. They need to be clean, quick and easy to add, edit and understand. I'm just not sure I'm getting that with the iReviews mod.

Perhaps I should look into having something custom written for the site?
