If you click the video embed button in the default post panel and insert the YouTube URL there, it will embed it for you properly.

any reason that when you embed a video, and click play (either in the middle or bottom left) it opens up a separate browser and plays on that AND ALSO in the embedded window?? How to remove that?

That's something YouTube does by default. It's something they designed their embeds to do.
