facebook - everyone can connect but me :(

i have integrated facebook with my 4.0.4 forum and its working fine..

only problem is i cant link my account up

everyone else can do it without fail but when i try i get:

"The following errors occurred during your registration:
Sorry, that facebook user does not match what we have on record, please try again."

anyone any idea's? p.s. im a facebook noob...

Make sure you are entering the correct username and password.

i did i can sign into both but i get that error when i try to link them..

1. Sign in to your facebook account.
2. Sign in to your forum account.
3. Click the facebook connect button.
3. Grant permissions.
4. Done

the facebook.php they provided seem to repair it..
