Film forum needs new Status Icons!

We need a new set of status icons for our film forum! For our FORUM_OLD (old posts), FORUM_NEW (new posts), and FORUM_LINK (hyperlink) status icons, a grunge-polaroid similar to this...(LINK TO POLAROID EXAMPLE), would be used. I know those exact polaroids cannot be used as they're trademarked, but it's just an example of what we're going for. The polaroid Would sit on a blotch of blood, similar to this...



...The blotch cannot be super large, but big enough to make it seem like the polaroid is sitting right in the middle of it. Now, framed within the polaroid, would be this...



...image here. And on the surface of the polaroid itself, would be tiny specks of blood. One small edit on the FORUM_NEW (new posts) icon. That icon would have small visible, film reels wrapped around the bottom. And one small edit on the FORUM_LINK (hyperlink) icon. That icon would not have the face framed within the polaroid. Instead, it would have the text HM&S sprawled across the polaroid. The text would be colored golden-yellow mixed with red and fonted/formatted like comic book writing, kind of like how the words would look on the cover of an Amazing Spiderman issue. We need 2 sets, one trio sized at 35x35, and another trio sized at 55x57. Thanks for any help with this!

You do realise that image you want inside the polaroid is already 55 x 57 px and if you place it inside a polaroid inside a blotch and want writing on it cartoon style you will never be able to read it!

OK, heres what I did.. Not sure what kind of film reel you want and placing.



As you can see if I reduce it to the size you want you cant see it and the 35x35 will be nearly impossible

Hmm....I see your point. Ok what you did is great, but do you think that resized at 55x57...that the icons will have good visibility? I would take them sized at 55x57 then.

Also on the subject of the film reel...I would just like a small set of film reels wrapped around the photograph with the face inside it, for the FORUM_NEW ICONS. As far as I can tell, the placing of everything is fine. But also...could you possibly cook up a set with the background around the blood splatter being black instead of blue? So I'd be able to test to see which one looks best on our board? The trio of icons with the blue background, or the trio with the black background. Also you see the tiny specks of blood that look like they're shooting out of the blotch of blood? I would prefer if those tiny specks where on the polaroid instead of the current blood stains.

And lastly, if you could add high-gloss to the icons, it would be great. Thanks for doing this!

P.S...here's an example of the film reels I found online. I just need the film reel, not the circular spool.

Ok this as far as I've gotten!

I re-did the blotch with a splatter brush set I had and created specks of blood on the polaroid and removed the smudges.



I was unsure of how you wanted the film reel done as your explanation was a little vague about placement.

These images are all set at 200px x 200px, the last part was a bit unclear also, you want them on a black background of 55x57 px or a blue one or both? Which kind of colour blue do you want?

Ok those are perfect! Yes, as far as background...I would like the one set blue and one set black. Basically both, sized at 55x57. In the highest resolution possible.

Huh? Blue background? Those images are all on transparent backgrounds. If you mean blue as in this forum then I understand otherwise still confused.

Let me reduce them to your requested size and with a black background.

I sent you a pm about the status icons. In your opinion would the reso on the face and words be better without a polaroid frame?
