Is there any mod/edit that allows me to give an certain Admin user access to only key parts of vBoptions that I choose for that user.
The reason being is because they don't need access to most of the options in vBoptions, or I don't trust them with some of the options because they are not experienced... however I'd like them to be able to edit things such as our Affiliates which is in vBotions. If there any way this is possible? Thanks in advanced |

Nope. Not that I am aware of. If you can't trust an admin not to change other settings, then don't give them the access to vBulletin Options

It's not that I don't trust them as such... I trust them. It's just some of my admins don't have the experience or just don't need to access some of the settings. It'll just be a lot easier for me and for them to have restrictions on vBoptions, just so they can edit our Affiliates and not be able to turn off the forum or edit important settings etc..

It is not possible. Unless you know PHP, then you'd have to make a few modifications.
Since, the settings page is controlled by one admin permission, and enabling it or disabling it for the admin is global to all the settings in vB options. Either, you don't give them access to that option, or you do, hoping they won't touch it. Or, you post a thread or PM each admin with what options they are permitted to edit. |
