Overwrite your old skin with a new one?

I have a skin on my forums, and i want to change it, but i dont want to have to install a new skin then add all the modifications and such over again >.<

Is there anyway to like overwrite your existing skin with a new one or something like that? Or if you upload a new skin will your current mods copy over / install to the new skin?
