Hey!
When I visited vbulletin.com a few minutes back my antivirus was showing that vbulletin.com is infected with a virus and that I should avoid going to the site. Any of you facing a similar problem ? Edit: attachment is not clear see this link Heres a screenshot: Attachment 111381 |

I have scanned my PC and there is nothing here. And why is only vBulletin.com being shown as infected and not any of the other sites that I am visiting ?

The malware on your PC is likely Avast. Its identiofying the RSS feed as a virus. Generally most link skanners are bunk.

I have tried to reproduce this on a PC using FF and Avast (all up2date) and i did not get any warning.
Most likely local to your installation. |

Its not detecting now for me also, but it was at the time I reported it. Maybe it was a false positive by avast or something was fixed at vBulletin.com.
Thanks for checking it out anyway. |

If a malicious link (as per the Avast database of malicious links) was posted, would it get picked up by RSS readers?
If so, it's more likely that this was a true positive, and the offending post was deleted by .com staff before anyone else's Avast was able to pick it up. |
